Amanhã ( 3 de março, em que se comemora o World Wildlife Day ) será concluido o Tratado do Alto Mar, onde será definida regulamentação sobre as aeas em alto mar: em torno de 2/3 das águas oceânicas localizam-se fora de qualquer jurusdição.
Se espera há muito por este tratado que está sendo discutido entre os 193 países membros da ONU, no quartel general da mesma, em NY.
Regular estas águas é importante para proteger a biodiversidade e proteger as águas de fatores poluentes, lembrando que os oceanos são os maiores absorvedores de gás carbônico e representam em torno de 95% do bioma existente no planeta.

Tomorrow( March 3, when we commemorate World Wildlife Day ) , the High Seas Treaty should be signed, regulating those areas. About 2/3 of ocean waters are located outside any country's jurisdiction.
This treaty has been a long time coming, and it's being finalized among the UN's 193 member states, at its headquarters in NY.
It's very important to regulate these waters, to protect biodiversity and to protect them against pollution, noting that the oceans are the largest removers of CO2 and represent about 95% of the world's biome.
