Uma nova plataforma que explica quanto carbono é armazenado pelas árvores existentes no mundo, foi desenvolvida e disponibilizada este ano , por cientistas da NASA : CTrees combina satélites e dados aéreos com informação local, e consegue contabilizar cada árvore no planeta. CTrees, cujo lema é , “Ver a floresta e as árvores” mede os estoques de carbono em florestas e ao longo do tempo, o que permite governos, sociedades, legisladores, empresas, etc fazerem investimentos com dados precisos, identificarem oportunidades, e medirem o progresso dos projetos!

A new platform explains how much carbon is stored in trees worldwide. Created by NASA scientists, CTrees combines satellite and aerial data with local information and can account for each and every tree around the planet. CTrees, whose motto is "see both the forest and the trees", measures the stored carbon in forests over time, allowing governments, societies, policy makers, companies, etc to invest with precise data, identifying opportunities and tracking progress!
